A 14cm Kutani plate with a cats-in-a-sunny-spot scene
Hand-painted in the celebrated Kutani ware tradition by Atelier Yu, this round porcelain plate puts the Sunny Spot cat scene at the centre of the table. At 14cm it sits between a side plate and a saucer — right for cake, toast, a few pieces of wagashi, or as a catch-all on a shelf or desk.
Porcelain gives it a brighter white ground and a crisper finish than our stoneware pieces. Each plate is painted by hand, so colour depth and line weight vary slightly between pieces.
As each piece is lovingly handcrafted, subtle variations in size, glaze, colour, and texture may occur, adding to the unique character and charm of the artisan-made product.
