Hand-painted in the celebrated Kutani ware tradition by Atelier Yu, this chawan carries the same cat scene as our best-selling Sunny Spot mug. At 11cm across and 6.7cm deep it has the open, wide-mouthed shape a chawan needs, giving the whisk room to move and the foam room to build.
Thick-walled, so it holds the heat while you drink. Equally at home as a serving bowl for a small dessert if matcha isn't your ritual. Each bowl is painted by hand, so colour depth and line weight vary slightly between pieces.
As each piece is lovingly handcrafted, subtle variations in size, glaze, colour, and texture may occur, adding to the unique character and charm of the artisan-made product.
