Hand-painted in the celebrated Kutani ware tradition by Atelier Yu, this yunomi pair pictures cats resting in a sunny spot. The set arrives as a traditional meoto pair — one larger cup at 7.5cm across and 9cm tall, one smaller at 6.5cm across and 8.5cm tall — which makes it a natural wedding, anniversary or housewarming gift.
Tall, straight-sided and unhandled in the classic yunomi shape, suited to green tea, hojicha or everyday hot drinks. Each cup is painted by hand, so colour depth and line weight vary slightly between pieces.
As each piece is lovingly handcrafted, subtle variations in size, glaze, colour, and texture may occur, adding to the unique character and charm of the artisan-made product.
